Message from Iraqi Peace Team-'Voices in the Wilderness....'

'You must go beyond what you think you can do. With cataclysm hanging over our heads you must refuse to conduct business as usual. You must individually and collectively throw a giant wrench into the machinery of war'.

This came through the post this morning. They have sent news of Iraqi sanctions to me for years. I am so demoralized by what our leaders in America and England are contemplating in the name of PEACE.

We are about to commit one of the most hideous acts, as though we had been conducting a reasonable argument, and this was merely a reasonable summing up- a coup de grace- in the name of our human frailty. How can we feel warm and human ever again? We watch helplessly as this massive juggernaut of high technology, death and destruction is allowed to jockey into position as though it was for afternoon tea. What is the reason for this insanity that we are not privy to??
